Advisory Services

Our advisory service offers general guidance around education delivery and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). We work with families to help make the process clearer and easier to understand, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and talk through any concerns you may have.

Our advice can cover areas such as:

Understanding how education can be delivered to meet a child's individual needs

General guidance around Education, Health and Care Plans

Helping families understand the EHCP process

Talking through educational concerns and possible next steps

Supporting parents who may be unsure where to begin

As SEN specialists, with experience supporting children with autism and ADHD, we understand how important it is for parents to feel listened to and supported. Our aim is to provide clear, straightforward guidance without making things feel more complicated than they need to be.

Education and Academic Support

We provide tuition across a range of subjects, academic levels and qualifications.

GCSE Maths and English

We offer support with GCSE Maths and English, helping students strengthen their knowledge, work through areas they find difficult and prepare more confidently for their exams.

SATs Tuition

Our SATs tuition is designed to help primary school pupils prepare for their assessments in a calm and supportive way. We can focus on areas where a pupil may need extra practice, while also helping them become more familiar with the type of work they are likely to encounter.

11+ Grammar School Preparation

For students preparing for entry to grammar school, we provide dedicated 11+ tuition. We help children develop the skills and knowledge needed for the 11+ while building their confidence and making them more comfortable with the exam process.

Functional Skills

Functional Skills qualifications can be an important option for students who need practical, everyday Maths and English skills or who are working towards further education, training or employment.

One-to-One Tuition

Much of the tuition we provide is delivered on a one-to-one basis.

We find that individual tuition gives students the space to work at their own pace, ask questions comfortably, and receive instruction that is fully focused on their needs.

One-to-one sessions can be especially helpful for students who may find larger classroom environments difficult or who benefit from a quieter, more personalised approach to learning.

Our tuition can take place in a location that works best for the student and their family, including:

At the student's home

In a local library

At a school

In a community centre

In another suitable community space

We want tuition to feel accessible and comfortable, so we are happy to work with families to find an appropriate setting.

Working Across Different Levels and Exam Boards

There is no single approach to education, and we work with students across a wide range of academic levels and examining boards.

Before tuition begins, we take the time to understand what the student is currently studying, what qualification or assessment they are working towards and where they may need additional support.

From there, we can shape tuition around their individual requirements rather than using the same approach for every student.

Find the Right Support for Your Child

Whether you are looking for GCSE tuition, SATs support, 11+ preparation, Functional Skills tuition or general advice around education and EHCPs, we are here to help.

If you are unsure which service would be most suitable, please get in touch with WMEC West Midlands Education Centre. We will be happy to talk through your circumstances, answer any questions you may have, and help you decide on the most appropriate next step.
